The recipe is adequate for 10 persons
For the dough:
6 cups of all-purpose flour
1 tsp of whole wheat flour
4 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp of instant yeast
2 1/2 cups of warm water
2 tsp of sugar
and 6 tbsp of olive oil, one for each flour cup
- Mix and knead the dough for approximately 10 minutes.
- Let it rise for 30-60 minutes
For the pizza sauce:
6 tbsp of olive oil
quarter of an onion, diced
and 2 mashed garlic cloves
1 can of peeled whole tomatoes
1/2 cup of water
3 bay leaves
1 1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp of nutmeg
1/4 tsp of cloves
1 tsp salt
and 1 tsp sugar
- First, add the olive oil, onion, and garlic and fry them.
- Then, add the other ingredients, mix them, and let the sauce simmer for 15 minutes.
- Afterward, remove the bay leaves and mix everything with a blender.
Toppings (You can add or omit any ingredient as desired):
Luncheon meats (omit for vegetarian)
Mushrooms, tomato slices, bell pepper slices, olives, and broccoli.
To make the pizza:
- Oil the baking tray or use parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough gently and transform it to the baking tray.
- Add the toppings as follows: pizza sauce, the cheese, the vegetables (and luncheon meats if desired), and lastly add cheese.
To bake the pizzas:
- Preheat the oven to 220C/425F for 15 minutes.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Exchange the positions of the pizzas after 12 minutes (if required).
