The Media/Elwyn line currently runs 15 miles or 24 kilometers from Universal City southwest to Elwyn, Pennsylvania. The majority of trains on this line continue east through the Center City Commuter Connection to run over the West Trenton and Manayunk/Norristown lines. The extension to Wawa will be completed by the end of 2021. The cost of the extension is approximately $178 million dollars, and is being funded by the federal government and the state of Pennsylvania. Construction began in 2018, and as we’ll see, the vast majority of the project is complete. The new station will be called Middletown, as it is located in Middletown Township. @Alan Fisher video on SEPTA: /watch/4aKRe4tiaNEiR @RMTransit video on GO RER: /watch/s401=t&gCEcgH4ImMnI1 Transit Dude’s video of trains in Jefferson Station: /watch/s1=t&AOmk-CWAqY_At Acelaphillies Newark Line cabride: /watch/s4981=t&Ehw96x9jod_j8 Abandoned Steve’s tour of the Chester Creek Branch: /watch/s852=t&I49gHClcWQKc2 Contact: Email: thefourfoot8@gmail.com Twitter: @TheFourFoot Instagram: @TheFourFoot Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/thefourfoot?fan_landing=true Timestamps: 0:00 Intro 0:57 SEPTA Overview 2:22 Middletown Overview 2:50 West Chester Line 4:28 Octoraro Branch 6:04 Chester Creek Branch 7:35 Musing 8:38 Elwyn Station 9:50 Williamson College 10:41 Glen Riddle 11:28 Lungren Road 12:11 Electrification 12:48 Lenni Road 13:15 Storage Tracks 13:59 Crossover 14:49 Middletown Station 16:34 Outro #SEPTA #Middletown #Wawa 6,387/6,427
