I know that raising goats can be scary and one thing that always makes us anxious adn we do not like doing is giving our nigerian dwarf goats a copper bolus pill. The way it works is that the copper bolus goes in a tool that you have to place down the throat of your goat, because if you do not, the goats will spit the copper bolus right back out, but there is also a risk of injuring your goat if you go too deep, not to mention it typically takes two people to do it that way. And since our goats are pets and a part of the cog hill family, it always makes us nervous, but recently I read about caring for your goats and saw an easy way of doing this and that was by placing the copper supplement into a banana, and since our dairy goats love bananas, I thought we should try this technique, and guess what, it worked! This was such a huge stress reliever for us here on the homestead, because now we no longer have to worry about injuring one of milk goats trying to gibe them the copper bolus. And also know that your goats need copper to be healthy. And you can do this several ways, and others was we give our goats copper is by sprinkling goat minerals on the goats feed every day, and also we have a goat mineral bucket that is free of choice that always contains traces of copper among other minerals your goats need to stay healthy. ------------ Mailing Address: Cog Hill Farm PO Box 2204 Selma, AL 36702 coghillfarms@gmail.com --------------- ✅Connect With Us: -Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/CogHillFarm -Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/CogHillFarms -Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coghillfarm/ -TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@ coghillfamilyfarm -------------- 🎧Podcast is uploaded WEEKLY: -Spotify: https://goo.gl/vLfJaS -iTunes: https://goo.gl/mPcKed -Podbean: https://coghillfarm.podbean.com/ ------------- Welcome To Cog Hill Farm & Homestead: The Home of The Dancing Farmer & Peaches The Potbelly Pig!! 🐷 We are a small family farm located in Alabama, & this is our story! #goats #goat #milkgoats #goatfarm #goatlife #cogsquad #familyfarm #farmlife #farm #smallfarm #farmliving #farmer #farmstead If you are just beginning a homestead or just starting out, I hope these homesteading videos & our homestead channel are helpful to you & your Family!
