Chickpea Laddu is the perfect sweet treat! Made with love and wholesome ingredients.
Ingredients required:
Chick peas - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - ½ cup
Cardamom powder - ½ tsp
Orange food colour - one pinch (optional)
Nuts - 2 tbsp
How to make Chickpeas Laddu:
1. Place the chickpeas in a large water bowl and leave them to soak for 2 hours.
2. Drain the chickpeas and place them in a mixer jar to blend.
3. Transfer the mixture to a large mixing bowl. Take a little of the mixture at a time, and shape it into small balls using your hands.
4. Heat oil in a pan and drop the chickpeas ball carefully into the oil. Fry for 5 minutes.
5. Grind the fried ball in a grinder until they are a fine powder.
6. In a large pan, take sugar, water, food colour and cardamom powder.
7. Allow it to boil for 4 minutes or until syrup thickness slightly.do not allow the sugar syrup to attain string consistency.
8. To the hot sugar syrup, add the prepared chickpeas mixture.
9. Mix well and coat all the mixture with sugar syrup.
10. Continue to cook for 2 - 3 minutes or until sugar syrup thickness.
11. Add grind cashew nuts and mix well.
12. The mixture is dried, and all the sugar syrup has been absorbed.
13. Prepare the ladoo taking a small amount of mixture.
14. Finally, Chickpeas laddu is ready to be served.
