CeramicSpeed Series Qualifier Race

Well that was madness! I've forgotten how mental a huge numbers race is, the pace is just so high. Pushed hard at the start but basically didn't get much further than 150th so tried to maintain top 200th and 'save a bit' of energy (unlikely). Pushed the bits I needed to and got to the volcano around that 200th. Pushed and tried to move up from there as gaps started opening all over the place. Made it up to about 120th but couldn't catch that top 100. Smallish group over the top of Volcano so couldn't make up ground on group ahead, much bigger group caught us from behind and we slowly caught the group ahead not much after the Rev KOM. Yes a chance of top 100! Felt ok (considering) going into the sprint but didn't get the timing quite right and used the power up to early and slipped to the front before it really kicked off. With the PU dying and the pack in full force I dropped to 105th, gutted! Great, exhausting, race though. Lets see if any DQ's get me through to the next round.
