Promenade On The Peninsula Dead Mall (AA: Ep. 61)

Take an adventure of walking around the Promenade On The Peninsula in this 61st Episode of Alex's Adventures! The Promenade On The Peninsula is an outdoor shopping mall in Rolling Hills Estates, California. The mall opened in the Fall of 1981 as an enclosed indoor shopping mall then later redeveloped as an outdoor shopping mall in 1999. The mall used to have two department store anchors that launched in 1981 with the May Company California and Bullocks Wilshire. In 1997, the two department store anchors left leaving the space to be added for Regals Cinemas and Equinox today. The last department store anchor to occupy the mall was Saks Fifth Avenue which closed down in 2006. Today, the mall only have a few remaining retail stores as well as restaurants while the rest contain mostly office spaces, fitness center and an ice skating rink.
