Once we got our test results, which said we were negative for COVID-19, we had to leave for Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, within 48 hours as the test results are only valid for 48 hours. We left for the airport on 10th September 2021 at 7:30 AM IST and reached at 3:00 PM. When we reached the Airpot, we showed our COVID-19 test results to enter the airport. We then went to the Air India Check-In, told the officials our entire route from India to Canada, and asked them if we needed to take a rapid COVID-19 test. They declined as we were going to Abu Dhabi first. Then, we showed all our documents, including our COVID-19 test results and visa to Abu Dhabi, to the Air India officials present. They said we could not board the flight to Abu Dhabi as our visa for Abu Dhabi was issued from Dubai, whereas it should have been issued from Abu Dhabi. They asked permission from the UAE government, and three to four hours later, the UAE government responded and said we were allowed to board the flight. However, when we again showed our documents to the officials, they said we could not board the flight because our COVID-19 test results were expired and invalid, which they were not when we entered the airport. We told the officials that they declined us to take a rapid COVID-19 test earlier, and now they are saying that our COVID-19 test results are expired and invalid. We had an argument with the officials; however, they were reluctant to accept their mistake. Eventually, we missed our flight to Abu Dhabi. We called our tour agency, Tour Umbrella, and Mrs. Manisha helped us during that difficult time. She guided us to get our offloaded documents from Air India for us to get our money refunded. She then booked our ticket to Abu Dhabi through Etihad Airways. Once the flights were booked, we rearranged our suitcases, as each airline's requirements for a suitcase's weight is different. We then got our COVID-19 test results as we took another COVID-19 test before leaving for the airport in the morning. We also took a rapid COVID-19 test which cost us ₹3,900 for each person. After staying at the airport for 12 hours, we boarded our flight to Abu Dhabi, scheduled to take off at 4:30 AM IST on 11th September 2021. Once reached Abu Dhabi International Airport, we took our luggage and got another COVID-19 test done at the airport for free. We then had a one-day stay in Abu Dhabi ahead of us in which we first went to our hotel, got freshened up, had breakfast, got some sleep, and went to Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi and YAS and Abu Dhabi Mall. The next day, we woke up at 1:00 AM GST and reached the airport at 2:00 AM. We checked in, passed immigration and security, and boarded our flight to Doha, Qatar, where we had a layover for two hours. In Doha, we explored the airport and then boarded our flight to Montréal, Québec, Canada, through Qatar Airways.
