TOFI (thin-outside-fat-inside) is used to describe lean individuals with a disproportionate amount of fat (adipose tissue) stored in their abdomen.
People who are TOFI are often of normal weight. However, they have low levels of lean muscle,
but excess amounts of visceral fat.
This can lead to obesity and health problems
e.g. like Diabetes, metabolic syndrome
The three points I discuss:
1. Thin appearance
This does not mean you have less Fat
2. Internal fat
i.e. visceral fat
is hard to detect, measure and to lose/remove
3. Check weight and BMI regularly
