Aloha friends. Welcome back to the channel. Welcome back to the ohana. Welcome back to another episode of cooking with magic. Today we are making the bread pudding from ohana. Best dessert on property if you ask me. It’s amazing. I’ve actually never been to ohana because when I was there as a cast member I can never get a reservation. Because it’s so popular. But I did get it from tambu lounge. It is right next to ohana. That’s where you get the lapu lapu. Drink that served in a pineapple. You used to be able to get the pulled pork nachos, but they don’t have it on the menu. Those are delicious. I don’t know if they still have it there but you can ask for the bread pudding. I think Kona cafe has it too. I think they changed the recipe from this one not sure. We used Texas toast for this but you can also use French bread or Hawaiian rolls. Although I would decrease the sugar you put in. This was delicious. I wish I would’ve used a different pan oh well. And also regular eggs. But it was still good. Eventually I wanna remake this but with the breakfast bread that they use. That will take more time to do. The sauce that goes on top of it is basically bananas foster sauce so good. I would recommend using a candy thermometer or digital one, so you know what temperature it’s at. Cause I said hardball stage with candy making. We did not flame it because one I don’t feel comfortable and two I don’t wanna burn down the kitchen. So we used used rum extract. You don’t want to use much of it cause it’s so strong I would say like a teaspoon or two, depending how strong you want it. But very good. I highly recommend you make this at home. I think it’s one of Disney’s most requested recipes it takes a lot of time, but worth it. I cut the bread too small. Oh well, it was still good. I was kind of out of it that day. I would link this recipe here: Recipe: 'Ohana Bread Pudding | the disney food blog If you want to make it at home. You can make a whole Disney night out of it with it and lilo and stitch or Moana. That would be awesome. As always friends thanks so much for watching. Really appreciate it. Have a magical night. Take care. Peace, love, and Mickey Jackson. Much love, Paula 💜. PS baby says hello. Special thanks to Ryan my husband. For filming and editing this. I will leave his channel and information below if you want to go follow him. He’s not really Disney but he’s still awesome. He does photography, digital artwork, filming, editing, and makes music. He’s pretty good actually. He did the music for my intro.
