Why does Radahn disappear during The Shattering | Elden Ring: Dark Moon BTS

In my mod for Elden Ring, Dark Moon, there's an encounter involving you, Malenia, and Radahn named The Shattering. In it, Radahn jumps away and never comes back. Why does this happen and how does it work?
