I have been assaulted and I remember being mortified of getting any sexually transmitted diseases. My heart goes out to him, and I really dig the creativity. @chrissiem39582 years ago Oh my Lord. When (s)he started talking about the assault, my heart jumped to my throat. There is immense bravery in talking so candidly about such a horrific, violating ordeal, and then to be diagnosed with HIV as a result just adds a whole new level of trauma. I do hope (s)he's getting professional help as well, but so very happy that drag has been a personal outlet for them, and has helped with healing.

So sorry to hear about what happened to you, a very similar thing happened to me when I was 18/19. It's a confusing and horrible time and no one should ever have to go through that. Much love ❤️ ...

I appreciate you talking about your experience not only for the drag community but for the LGBTQ community and men. These areas are often overlooked as far as being victims of assault, but they absolutely can be. As a woman who went through multiple scarring experiences too, I’ve seen the LGBTQ community, people of colour & men suffering, but not given the same treatment or therapy as women. That has taught me to always speak up for the little voices throughout my life. Whether it’s for more rights or personal expression, we can all be encouraging and strengthen the voices that go unheard. I appreciate you opening up & sharing your art. ... 7
