#nintendoswitchsports How to Get Hole in Ones Accessing the courses: You can try and restart as many times to get a hole-in-one as you want. Holes 4 and 13 can be accessed by selecting 3 holes, Resort B and Classic B respectively. The other 4 holes (2,8,11,17) have to be accessed by selecting 3 holes, Random, and hoping for it to appear as the first hole. However, if you pause and restart on the first hole in Random, the game will give you the same hole with the same wind and hole position, so don't worry about losing the opportunity to replay the current hole you're working on. After selecting the hole, you can experiment to your heart's content. Hitting the ball: On the map, you can see a flag icon where the hole is, so you can either hit the ball with a little less power than the flag and let the ball roll in or you can hit the ball with as much power as the flag and add backspin to your shot. (To hit a shot with backspin, stop your swing when your controller is directly pointed at the ground.) The hole's layout, elevation, wind, and green terrain will make one method much easier to do than the other, so try both. If you can't seem to get close enough to the hole, try using different clubs than the one that the game chooses for you. (On Hole 17, the game will usually give you a Driver or Spoon. They are affected less by the wind, but you cannot use backspin on your shots.) Practicing: You should get the power and angle of your shots consistently. To get the power of the shot that you want, raise the white bar on the meter to the desired power and swing at a steady speed. Use your practice shots to make sure the power of your swing is where you raised the white bar before you swung. When doing shots with backspin, you will have to swing a bit faster than you would normally would since you're not completing the follow-through of the swing. As you keep trying, pay attention to how the wind affects your ball, where the ball lands, and how the ball bounces on the green terrain. The map is not 100% accurate and the only way to learn how to make your shots closer to the hole is by seeing for yourself what shots work and don't work. You can even use the Capture button on the left controller when you get a really close shot to have a recorded reference of what you did and make small adjustments accordingly. If you're reading this, I hope you have a wonderful 2023. :)
