In this video I will show you how to remove dried water base paint from stained trim, doors, and carpet. This process also works on painted trim and doors or stained cabinets or painted cabinets as long as they have been previously painted or polyurethaned with an oil base finish. Please note that denatured alcohol will remove dried water base paint from any surface so always try a test spot first. If the area you test gets dull or gummy, then this method will not work without damaging the surface. Never pour denatured alcohol right onto the carpet or the carpet backing could release causing damage to the carpet. Always put the denatured alcohol on your rag first.
