Day 5 celebrates Goddess Annapurna - She is the Goddess of food & nourishment. Rice Is considered to be a form of ParaBrahma. The bowl in Her hand grants everlasting good omen. Meditating about Her improves intellect besides bestowing sweet talk, presence of mind, purity of word, deed, devotion, fervor, and affluence. Milk - 500ml Raw rice - 1 cup Cardamom powder - 1 tbsp Jaggery - 1 cup (heap) Ghee - 1 tbsp Cashew & kismis - as per requirement Water - as per requirement Preparation Process Boil 500 ml milk. Add 1 cup of thoroughly washed rice. Mix well. Cook only on SIM flame. Stir in between to avoid the bottom of the utensil getting burnt. Add cardamom powder - 1tbsp. The rice should be completely cooked. When the milk is reduced and the rice is not completely cooked , water can be added as necessary. Once the texture of the rice becomes very soft , switch off the gas as it is thoroughly cooked. Jaggery - 1 cup(heap). Jaggery qty can be increased or decreased based on your taste. Mix well and set it aside. Heat the kadai with 1 tbsp ghee. Add Cashew & kismis as per requirement. Once the cashew turns brown and kismis bloat , remove and add to the rice and combine it well together.
