According to a new report from Rolling Stone, Donald Trump is having his aides draft "battle plans" that he can use to launch an attack on Mexico if he makes it back into the White House. Specifically, the plans would be to attack the drug cartels, but these plans could easily be used to target migrants or any other group in the country - or targets in other countries. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening. According to a new report from Rolling Stone this week, Donald Trump is having his staffers, his aide, draft up plans for how he can attack Mexico, should he ever make it back to the White House. Now, rolling Stone did speak to sources close to Donald Trump. They said that he has had it with the drug cartels in Mexico, and he wants to use the US military to attack just the drug cartels. Don't worry, it's just the drug cartels. It's not like it's gonna escalate to attack those so-called migrant caravans. No, there's no chance of that. Folks that don't even worry about it, it's just the drug cartels. But either way, Donald Trump wants to send the United States military into a sovereign nation that we share a border with because as these sources told Rolling Stones, he fe rolling stone. He feels like he's got some, um, unfinished business to deal with from his first term. Part of their plan is relying on a white paper from a group called Center for Renewing America, which is made up of, you know, MAGA loyalists. They recently put out a paper in last October titled It's Time to Wage War on Transnational Drug Cartels. Part of their plan is, of course, to work with the Mexican, uh, government and military, but they've made it clear, it is vital that Mexico not be led to believe that they have veto power or, or to prevent the US from taking the actions necessary to secure its borders. And people see if this was just about drugs, right, going after the cartels, you wouldn't mention borders because see, drugs themselves are not a threat to the border. Human beings, however, are see, because what they're gonna do if they get Trump back in the White House and after the, you know, indictments gonna be a little harder for 'em, they're gonna go out there and they're gonna argue, listen, hey, we've got a migrant caravan, a thousand people, and we know well some of these people are, are smuggling drugs. We're gonna bomb 'em. We're gonna open fire. That's what this is. This is not about the drug cartels. This is about killing people before they can cross our border. Now, the way they're gonna do this, by the way, and we've seen this push recently from a lot of different Republican members of Congress, Marjorie Taylor Green as one of them, they want to declare the drug cartels and any drug smugglers, they wanna label them officially as terrorists. And by slapping that label on them, thanks to the, uh, modifications we made, to the, uh, use of force, the A U M F, um, if we label them terrorists, that would give the green light for a presidential administration to launch an attack against them without having to get the approval of Congress. So that's why we're seeing this push right now to label these people as terrorists Because then it takes Congress outta the equation. The president would be able to do this on his own, and that's what Trump wants, and he wants to be able to do it not just against the drug cartels, but against anyone trying to cross that southern border. It's very easy to lie to the public and say that, no, no, no, they're totally all smuggling drugs, and then you kill 'em in a foreign country and nobody ever, you know, gets to check and see if that was accurate. That's what they want to do, and that's what this push to attack Mexico is all about.
