Gardening is my husband's passion. I have tried to summarise as best as I could on this tour. As a stream flows in our grounds we are bound to keep the rules and regualtion as a nature reserve. Swiss authorities are very strict. Nothing permanent can be made even the trees and bushes should be native to the area. We have tried to make a natural fence by planting yellow willows ( Osier). On the newly raised bed we planted salads, chives and Basil. Decided to make a proper green house though not a permanent one due to regulations from the planning commission. If they don't object we can build a permanent one in the future. With the help of the local farmer we could extend the garden a little on the slope towards the stream to a bed by placing a timber and filling it up. We planted garlics on it. The onions were planted last autumn. We have also tried to plant from the seeds we had from last year and some were purchased this year like Okra, Paprika and chillies. This is just the second year and we are still learning a lot to make it more productive. I have just ordered a new freezer to try to store the excess we will have. Hope you enjoy the garden tour.
