Castle Stalker on Loch Laich, an inlet off Loch Linnhe in Appin, is believed to have been built much in it's present form around 1446 by Lord of Lorn, Sir John Stewart. Now owned by the Stewart Allward family, we believe tours are available. What we do know for sure, is that the views are spectacular, and the Castle Stalker View Cafe & Gift Shop, as well as excellent food, has an envious location with panoramic views of Castle Stalker and Loch Linnhe. Monty Python fans may recognise it as Castle Aaaargh from the cult classic film Monty Python and the The Holy Grail.
