Naipaul, in full Sir Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul, the famous and controversial British writer who is one of the initial and most influential post colonial writers was born on August 17, 1932, Trinidad and died on August 11, 2018, London, England. This Trinidadian writer of Indian descent is known for his pessimistic novels set in the developing countries. For these revelations which are called the ‘suppressed histories’ by the Swedish Academy, Sir Naipaul won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2001.
