Hi guys! ♡ Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Jamaicans!! What better day to make our national dish than today as we celebrate 56 beautiful years of Independence!! My mom recently brought back some ackee from her trip to Jamaica & my first thought was “I have to share this simple & delicious recipe with you guys!” Lol So here it is! Enjoy! Xo INGREDIENTS: - 2 cups ackee -1 lb saltfish -1 medium onion, chopped -1/2 green bell pepper, chopped -1/2 red bell pepper, chopped -1 medium tomato, diced, -1/4 scotch bonnet pepper, finely chopped (seeds removed) - a pinch of black pepper -1/2 tsp salt -4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil I hope you guys enjoyed this video!
